AutoBorne Primary Sealer Set 16oz

The AutoBorne Primary Sealer Set is a must-have for anyone in the automotive or large-panel painting industry. This set includes 16 oz. bottles of five different colors - white, black, yellow, red, and blue. It also includes a bottle of 4011 Reducer.

The AutoBorne Sealers in this set are the perfect starting foundation for any graphic or complete automotive paintjob. These sealers have incredible adhesion to any substrate, including plastic. They dry fast and level, and can be easily shaved when dry sanded with 1000 grit or finer sandpaper.

One of the great benefits of AutoBorne Sealers is that they allow for quicker drying times. Not only do the sealers themselves dry quickly, but subsequent coats of Auto Air Colors also dry quicker because less material is required to cover when colors are color-keyed with AutoBorne Sealer.

There are many ways to use AutoBorne Sealers to achieve different effects. For example, you can apply 4100 Series Aluminums and 4300 Series Silvers over 6013 Sealer Aluminum for an even orientation and metallic hiding. You can also color-key AutoBorne Sealer with 4300 Series Pearlized and Metallic Colors to create a uniform, well-orientated pearlescent finish. This eliminates the need for multiple coats and prevents a lumpy appearance due to excessive build-up of pearlescent powder or metallic.

The AutoBorne Sealers are universally compatible with any paint system and can be applied directly to other primer types such as DTM etch-primers used to treat bare metal before AutoBorne Sealer is applied. They can be applied to various substrates including aluminum, wood, urethane, and most plastics. The adhesion of AutoBorne Sealers is truly tenacious.

After application, the AutoBorne Sealers take 48 hours to fully cure. However, they can be taped on, sanded, and Createx Colors products can be applied in less than 30 minutes after application. For solvent-based paint or clear, allow 48 hours cure time, sand or degrease prior to application. The sealers can be top-coated with solvent-based paint soon after application, provided the sealers are wiped with degreaser or sanded.

To achieve the best results, it is recommended to reduce the AutoBorne Sealer with 10% per volume of 4011 High Performance Reducer. The sealer is best applied with a 1.2 - 1.4mm tip-sized spray gun at around 25-30 psi. For use with smaller tip sizes or airbrushes, the sealer should be reduced accordingly to achieve proper flow and atomization.
